2025 Conference Venue and Directions

The WTN 2025 conference will be held at the Scandic Kødbyen hotel, Skelbækgade 3A, Copenhagen V.

ACCESS TO THE CONFERENCE AREA AT Scandic Kødbyen hotel

From the main hotel entrance (see left picture above), walk straight ahead past the bar toward the reception area. On the left of the reception desk, walk down the stairs, through a little tunnel, and up again where you will find the conference desk/area. There will be signs to guide you.

There is also a more direct access to the conference area a bit further up the street at Skelbækgade 3D (entrance through sliding doors, but there is no indication/sign).

DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE (Scandic hotel) FROM COPENHAGEN CENTRAL TRAIN STATION (KBH H/København H)

By foot: The hotel can be accessed by walking (900m ~ 11mins) from KBH H:

• by exiting the central station main hall from a small exit with stairs down to street level, which is located next to the police station (Politi) on the South-Western side of the hall (on your left if coming on a train from the airport entering the hall),
• or from the Metro station exits on the same side of central station (just go out to street level after the elevators from underground level).

Then, proceed one building block South-West to find "Halmtorvet". After passing Halmtorvet square and round-about, follow Halmtorvet boulevard for about 700m (better on the left side). Then, Skelbækgade will be on your left, and Scandic hotel is about 100m up the street on the left again (see picture above and walking map below with blue dots).

By local train: You can also take any S-Train (S-Tog) leaving from Copenhagen central train station from Tracks 11 or 12 (Spor 11-12) which are on the same platform. Stop at the first station: Dybbølsbro St. All S-Train lines stop there. Walk up to the bridge level, and over the train tracks toward North/right out from the stairs, and go straight down Skelbækgade to Scandic hotel (approx. 300m, see map below). Your Train/Metro ticket from the airport will still be valid for that journey.

By taxi from Central station: At Copenhagen central train station, the taxi stand is located on the opposite side (North-Eastern exit) of the main hall, toward Bernstorffsgade/Tivoli.

FROM THE AIRPORT TO COPENHAGEN CENTRAL TRAIN STATION (København H)

You have 2 main public transport options to reach Copenhagen central station from the airport: In both cases, walk out of the luggage/custom area, and just go straight to the end of arrival hall (which is Terminal 3). Then you can:

• either take a train: Trains depart from Track 2 (Spor 2) using the moving walkway down to the underground platform at the end of the hall. Take a train stopping at København H as indicated on the overhead screens.
• or take the Metro: At the very end of the arrival hall, after passing the train platforms accessing walkways, go up the escalator and all the way down the corridor over the highway. Take any metro leaving the station, and stop at Kongens Nytorv station. Switch over to line M3 or M4 toward København H.

Tickets (same for train and metro) can be bought toward the end of the arrival hall (Terminal 3) on the right side from the red vending machines (see picture below). Make sure that you buy a ticket that covers your final destination from CPH Airport if you are going to another destination than KBH H or Dybbølsbro St.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN DENMARK

For planning any journey in Denmark (including Copenhagen area), a good and practical option is to use rejseplanen.dk, It does provide the best options according to its algorithms, time schedules, connection time, delays, etc (also in English if choosing this option).

If you are stranded in a small station with no option, the local 7 Eleven does sell train/bus tickets.
